Jakob Schmid Söhne GmbH
The Schmid family has been processing wood into high-quality products for almost 100 years. What started with wagon wheels, continued in handle production, ultimately became a parquet factory in the Black Forest. A tradition-conscious parquet manufacturer like jaso not only thinks about the past, but above all about the future generations. jaso's success story cannot be continued without an intact environment. In our understanding of home decor, the future cannot lie in synthetic floors. The natural climate balance of the wood in the living room ensures a healthy living environment for people. That is why jaso continues to focus on protecting the environment through a strict sustainability policy. jaso uses energy responsibly. 25 percent of the electricity and 100 percent of the heat are generated 100 percent self-renewably - for an almost CO2-neutral production. The first solar projects on the roofs of the jaso production halls have been implemented and ensure a regenerative power supply. The generation of energy through the CO 2 -neutral combustion of the sawdust ensures warm production halls in winter and operates the drying chambers, which dry the wood to living room humidity. Firewood and spruce residues are processed as pellets and incinerated for private households. Even wood chips are still used in the wood-based materials industry. The completely clean production is a plus for the environment and for future generations.
