The Board of Directors of the European Parquet Federation, FEP, met at Bauwerk Group Schweiz AG premises in St Margrethen, Switzerland, on 10 April 2025, and discussed, amongst others, the parquet situation on the European markets.
In general, the situation is slightly improving but coming from very low levels. Several countries are reporting the first signs of the much-needed relief delivered by the European Commission’s already applicable provisional Anti-Dumping duties on imports of Multilayer Wood Flooring from China. The definitive Anti-Dumping duties in this case are expected to be formally imposed by 15 July 2025.
On the other hand, impacts of the current and unpredictable “trade war” are difficult to assess right now, but it is for sure not reducing uncertainties for the consumers and the producers.
